I do this. =)

Do you go around with a QR image of your public key in your phone?

Interesting… I’ll have to think this one over. I store very few of my secrets directly on my phone. I only do the paper backup part.

Public key is not a secret. QR seems like a practical way to exchange public keys, but I don’t use it.

Looks like others have done this for a little while.

qr-codes for my PGP keys

Sorry my confusion, I just mean in general I don’t store very much on my phone, period.

For exchanging public keys using QR codes, I’ve used them for the scanning at runtime for passing keys. But I havent really used them to pass around as standalone image files. I bet you could turn a photo album into a rolodex that way.
