Do I recommend getting a PocketCHIP?
No.
Unless you’re a Linux user wanting a terminal in your pocket.
Or you’re any sort of nerd and want a super nerdy-looking device to tinker with while out and about.
Or you have $69.

So basically, yes?

I have one. I find the battery life better than I expected. The packages leave me wanting what I can’t have. The image that the PocketCHIP vs the image the standalone CHIP is like comparing an original NES touchscreen with a debian release from five+ years ago. If you pop out the PocketCHIP’s board and plug in the standalone CHIP (strictly speaking about the default install image) you’ll have a better time, except that the touchscreen doesn’t play nice; I suggest getting a wireless keyboard-trackpad, non-rottentooth version for better performance.

you have one of those things? Where did you buy it?

I backed the project through their campaign. You can get them from their https://getchip.com/ website now also.

This is awesome. I want one.
