I’ve had to close registrations because of the endless spam. If somebody needs an account, please ask in #peers (irc.libera.chat)

This is the way to go. No bot will install an IRC client for a spam account! :-)

Too much effort for too little gain, I guess :) Nonetheless I’ve seen plenty of spam on IRC too. It’s everywhere! I also get spam in webservers’ logs: they add links to youtube, dating sites, whatever, in the user-agent, referrer, or the query string.
