It response to all the counter hype that users don’t use Firefox:

Firefox is being underreported in browser-market-share data, because we are taking steps to protect users. We stand up for users anyway. Mission over measurements.

I don’t believe for one second that Firefox is underreported “because we are taking steps to protect users”. My user agent is literally Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0.

That’s a really good point that I started to think about more after commenting earlier. IE itself even for a while used that or a version for their own UA. Maybe even still does. There’s something more going on it that statement about protecting users. But in addition, the Mozilla/Firefox UA is all over the place. I think this deserves another post. I’ll link it.
