This is why medical records should be user-owned. Whether electronically, or in a paper file. Medical records should never be on a central cloud where everyone and anyone can look at them. I for one would much rather have it in a file that I bring with me that medical professionals can only access with my permission. And if I feel I trust them enough to give them a copy, I can. I get so sick of going to a hospital and everyone, even receptionists pull up my information. There is no doctor-patient confidentiality in this current way of doing things.

This is a big issue indeed. The largest hospital in my city just moved (hopefully not everything) to Google Cloud. I don’t mind my hospital storing my data, they do need it. But it should be stored locally at the hospital, not on the cloud :/
