I was wrong.

We’re all wrong many many times in our lives, and we must be wrong so that we can be corrected, and if the correction is public then all the better; everyone can learn from it.

I still disagree with the ban Tusky (and Sengi) implemented, and eagerly await what Stallman will post about it.

In the meantime we can promote L̶i̶b̶r̶e̶m̶ ̶S̶o̶c̶i̶a̶l̶ alternatives to Tusky.

It’s easy when there’s one authority to rely on and the whole world-view is shaped around not wanting to reflect on why this was done, isn’t it.

If I could, I would delete my account here, too many freespeech-america-fossbros and conspiracy theorists these days without any apparent moderation.

Stallman is one of the authorities on software freedom, yes. Other topics are harder to get a “one true answer” on, yes.

and the whole world-view is shaped around not wanting to reflect on why this was done, isn’t it.

Oh I fully understand why it was done, and I’ve thought, reflected, and researched on it, and I still disagree with it. Is that a problem? That I have an opinion that differs from yours?

If I could, I would delete my account here,

I don’t understand why deleting your account would stop you from coming here, could you not just forget this place exists? Or set a random password on your account. Or contact zPlus to get your account deleted.

too many freespeech-america-fossbros

  1. It doesn’t seem to me that everyone who posts here are freespeech “extremists”.
  2. I’m not american
  3. Fossbros? Where do you think you are? Have you even read the about page?

and conspiracy theorists

Absolutely not. Maybe before Snowden you could’ve legitimately called me a conspiracy theorist.

these days

My account was made 4 months after yours, it’s been like this the entire time I’ve been here.

without any apparent moderation.

I personally find most people have been rather pleasant here, at least compared to more vile places. Do you think zPlus/Peers should censor comments with opinions that differ from theirs?

sigh. Only one partial reply: I did not address you personally with everything in that message. The people I described are around here, but as you noted, less than anywhere else (though this shouldn’t be a benchmark as this is easy to achieve). For the rest, I don’t care enough for this conversation.

On topic: Stallman thinks in a political vacuum. This is very wrong and dangerous, both for FSF as well as the community.

Stallman is Stallman, he’s always been like this.

What’s the worst that could happen? What should the FSF or the community do?

It’s easy when there’s one authority to rely on and the whole world-view is shaped around not wanting to reflect on why this was done

my thought exactly. Stallman opinion is valuable, but why should his opinion be the ultimate truth?

Librem Social also implemented this blacklist.

My bad, I thought they forked it to remove the blacklist. Is there a real alternative then?

Fedilab is the only one on F-Droid that works with Gab, but the user experience is not as good as just using Gab through the browser.
