Sometimes I wonder if these types of news articles are just put out to desensitize people to the idea of having their privacy violated. No one seems to care. And not to mention, the Washington Post is owned by one of the biggest violators of privacy, Jeff Bezos. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the Amazon Alexa tech is in these televisions.

Indeed no one seems to care, which I find very interesting. I would love to know why. I think it must be because it’s so subtle, nobody really knows what data is being collected and also the collectors do not have a face. If there were a way for people to see in real time “this and this people are collecting this and this information” it would be way different.
